IELTS is the testing method by which it is possible to check how good a person is in English speaking, listening reading, and writing. This is an international standard testing method applied to the non-native English-speaking people to know their abilities. It takes 2 years to finish. This testing system supervised by the British Council and IDP, IELTS Australia, and Cambridge assessment. It was first published in 1989.

There is no such thing as a pass or fail in IELTS. Results are reported as band scores on a scale from 1 (the lowest) to 9 (the highest).

There mainly two types of IELTS tests existing, academic, and general training testing. Anyone can choose between these two testing methods.
In academic testing training, it mainly focuses on or measures your English language proficiency whether it is suitable or not for the academic atmosphere. It highlights the aspects of academic language and tests your ability whether or not you are ready for the training or study.
This training, through the everyday context or in a practical way measures the capability for English language proficiency. This task or method reflects on social situations and workplaces.
In the academic format, there will be three reading passages, which are taken from various sources. After that, questions will be asked to the following passages. Each question has one mark.
There candidate will see multiple choices to answer the question, identifying information, matching information, identifying viewer’s claim, matching feature, matching headings, sentence completion, sentence endings matching, summary completion, short answer questions, note and table completion, diagram level completion and summary, note, table flow chart completion.
In this section, the candidate will see a set of multiple questions to be answered. Each question will offer you four options and you will have to choose the right one from all those options.
In this identifying information, one candidate will have to give his or her answer in, yes or no, true, or false. Mainly one may have to agree or disagree with the statement given in the test.
3. Identifying The Writer’s Views/Claims
In this test, the candidates will write their answers in right or wrong. He or she has to put one option in the given box.
The candidates will match the answer in the paper, moreover, to put or fill the box, with correct matching numbers.
In IELTS, the test takers will ask the candidates to match a heading with the right heading. You will have to select the right match for the correct question.
The candidate will see two columns in the question paper, asked them to match the correct features with the right option.
In this particular section, the candidates will have to match a sentence with another sentence, which is correct, by matching the sentence ending.
There will be some incomplete sentences and the candidates will have to finish those sentences with the right information.
In the summary testing part, there will a long story and in detail. The candidates will have to write that particular story in short or in summary style.
10. Note Completion, Table Completion
In IELTS, candidates will have to make a take or note regarding their answer.
There will be the following passage, at first, the candidates will have to read the whole passage attentively. After that, they will be asked a set of questions to answer. The candidates can write the answer in detail or in short, may be in two-three words, just like the true and false.
In the diagram section, the candidates will have to prepare a diagram regarding their answer and they will have to describe it fully. The diagram should be in the correct order with the correct answer as well.
In the question paper, there will be some short type of questions, which each candidate will have to write from a particularly given text.
